About Me

Hello, I’m Nina! I’m currently working as an ESL Teacher in Chengdu. I taught ESL for 4 years in South Korea and 6 years in China. I am happily married to a Tibetan man and we have a daughter. I love drinking coffee, learning languages, traveling, and writing. I’ll mostly document my time spent in China and Tibet, as well as, my language-learning journey. I am dabbling in Tibetan and Korean, eventually I hope when I am disciplined enough I an add Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. My personal entries are written under the Blooming Mud Flower.

I forgot to back up my website so basically, this is a fresh start for me! I may upload old entries over time, but that will be a slow and daunting task. Thanks for dropping by and have a lovely day! 🙂
